On the whole, Data Security ensures that Information Governance and Information Security are at the forefront of any decisions that we make; ensuring your data and information is secure at all times. We want to reassure patients that we have always taken Data Protection extremely seriously and will continue to safeguard your information as patients.
We publish our Data Security & Protection Toolkit online each year that informs you how we adhere to the guidelines (https://www.dsptoolkit.nhs.uk/)
As of 30th June 2022 the COPI notices that covered sharing of information during Covid have been stopped. We are therefore updating our documents to reflect this and they will be published shortly.

Staff have been trained in the new guidelines annually (online) and have had 2 additional specific staff training sessions in November 2021 and March 2022 on Data Security.

NHS Digital are launching the General Practice Data for Planning and Research (GPDPR) data collection system. Not to be confused with the GDPR!
